All About The Lab

Philipp Koldewey

Graduate Student
Email: koldewey@umich.edu

Philipp began his studies in biochemistry at the MLU Halle-Wittenberg in 2005. Because of his special interest in protein biochemistry, he decided to join the Bardwell lab to work on his diploma thesis. In context of Philipp's diploma thesis, he tried to characterize a new periplasmic E.coli chaperone. As a PhD student of the Bardwell Lab, he is currently seeking for the fundamentals of chaperone-substrate interaction. During his spare time Philipp likes to chill out while listening to hiphop music or hang out with friends. Besides enjoying many kinds of sports and outdoor activities, he loves to train ninjutsu. At this point he wants to thank Prof. Rainer Rudolph who made it possible for him to join this great lab.
