The second meeting of the NASCE was held at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) Campus Juriquilla, Santiago de Querétaro May 22-25, 2013.

Dr. Robert Dores (USA) was awarded the inaugural Gorbman-Bern Memorial Lectureship Award and Dr. Chris Martyniuk (CAN) the inaugural Gorbman-Bern New Investigator Award.
