Postdoctoral Opportunities in Molecular Neuroendocrinology and Evolutionary Developmental Biology
Please inquire for current opportunities.

A Ph.D. in the life sciences is required and experience with molecular genetics is preferred. The Departments of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology provide for a unique training environment in basic life sciences with many opportunities for collaborations and interactions. Send expressions of interest along with a CV and the names of three references to: Prof. Robert Denver, Department of MCDB, The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1048 (rdenver@umich.edu).

Molecular neuroendocrinology; Evolutionary developmental biology and physiology

The laboratory currently has openings for graduate students to study the molecular basis of thyroid and steroid hormone action in neural development, the evolution of hormone signaling pathways that underlie developmental processes, and the evolution and function of stress hormones and the fitness consequences for exposure to stressors early in life.

Professor Denver holds a primary appointment in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and a courtesy appointment in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

The lab has been continuously funded for the past fifteen years by the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and state and private agencies.

Please visit the publications link on our homepage for the latest papers published by members of the lab.

Please contact Professor Denver at rdenver@umich.edu for more information on research opportunities.
