The Jakob LabLab MemberMichael Gray, Ph.D.![]() E-Mail: mikegray@umich.edu Mike joined the Jakob lab in July 2010, after completing his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he studied the bacterial biosynthesis of vitamin B12. He is currently focusing on understanding how bacteria sense and respond to hypochlorous acid, which is the active component of household bleach and an important bacteriocidal component produced by white blood cells. Outside of lab, Mike enjoys spending his time thinking about making and consuming both food and music. |
