The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan solicits applications from neuroscientists for faculty positions at the assistant professor level, but appointment at a more senior level is possible for applicants with suitable experience. We seek to fill an open position in the field of neuroscience broadly defined. We encourage applications from scientists who use cellular, genetic, molecular, and/or in vivo imaging approaches. The faculty position will be tenure track or tenured with a university year appointment starting September 1, 2017 or January 1, 2018. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous, extramurally funded research program and to be involved with instruction of both undergraduate and graduate students. All applications must be submitted on-line. Candidates for appointment at the assistant professor level should provide names and contact information for at least three references, as instructed in the on-line application form. To ensure full consideration, all materials should be received by October 14, 2016.
